SES Winter Indoor League

Mark your calendars:
END OF SEASON PARTY - March 12th

General Rules:
This is an indoor golf league playing 9-hole rounds per week for fun and prizes. Each player plays as an individual (there are no teams). The Winter League will run from January 27st through March 12th. Each week starts on Wednesday night. All players will compete on the same course for that week, which is listed below. All players will be responsible for keep track of their own score by posting it on the “score sheet”. All scores must be witnessed and all rounds must be completed before 5:00pm the following Wednesday. Basically you have one week to complete your round, if you don’t complete your round in time, you will receive a score for the week of zero. For this League no substitutes will be allowed.

Points:
All players will compete on the same course for the week. The lowest score will be awarded the highest points. So if there are 10 players, and Jason shoots the best score overall he will receive 10 points for the week. The next best score will get 9 points and so on. If you don’t complete your round in time you will receive a zero! At the end of the regular season, if there is a tie in total points, there will be a sudden death playoff, which is to be played before playoffs begin. The 4 players with the highest point total at the end of the week 6 will play one 9hole round of match play. The 1st place player with play 4th place and 2nd and 3rd will go head-to-head. The winners of those rounds go on to play for the championship on March 12th. This round will start at 6:30 and starting at 7:30 all other players and guests will show up for a party hosted by SES. There will also be a “closest to the pin” competition for all of you that want to play – prizes available.

Required Time Commitment:
Depending on the total number of participants at a given time, a round may take as long as three hours. One round of 9 holes for one player can take between 30-60 minutes. But remember you can play your round anytime before 5 o’clock the following Wednesday. Players are welcome to come to SES during normal business hours or by appointment to play/finish their rounds. All players will compete in a total of seven weeks: six regular season rounds and the seventh week is the playoffs. Only the top two players will play in the championship — 9 holes head-to-head match play format. Please mark March 12th on your calendars for the end of the league party. I hope everyone will be able to attend (significant others welcome).

Fees
The cost of participation is $12.00 a week ($84.00 total for all seven weeks) or $70.00 if you pay in full the first week. This includes entry into the league and a gift certificate to the SES showroom for a free round of golf, a $30 value.

Handicap
Handicaps (indexes) will be in effect for the winter league: Past participants handicaps are calculated already. NEW PLAYERS: we will need your handicap indexes. (if you are not sure what your handicap is, grab you past scorecards and plug them in here to calculate:

Standings and Information:
Each Wednesday night all scores will be calculated and posted on the SES Blog.

Other information on products and directions can be found on our main website.

In Round Play:
All players will play with the same simulator settings, with 8’ gimmies and two mulligans per round. Players are encouraged to bring and use their own clubs, but ONLY SES balls can be used!! There is a set of men’s right and left-handed clubs available to use in the showroom. All players must sign the waiver before than can play. All players and guests must adhere to the “SES Showroom Rules”. New rule for the Winter League is the “Double Plus One Rule”: In the event the ball is hit to an area where the player has no other option than to “pickup” that the player will take a double plus one for the hole. This means whatever par is for the current hole, double it and add one more stroke. So for a par 3 the total score which would have to be added to the player’s total would be a 7; par 4 would be a 9 and par 5 is 11.

Prizes will be awarded on March 12th, at the party. Prizes are subject to change depending on the total number of players.
